Winter Series #7: Championships – Hosted by Sand Point Outrigger Canoe Club

Please join us for the fun and challenging 2024 PNWORCA Winter Series Championship Race!
Race Course will include a 5 mile short course and 9 mile long course.
Outriggers, Surfskis, and SUPs are all welcome!

Race Fee & Registration

Race Fee: $30 (includes race fee, lunch, insurance)
Registration: Online registration. Closes at 8pm on Friday March 29th, 2024.

Racecourse Details

(Note: We may change racecourse due to wind and weather in the interest of paddler safety.)

8:00am – 9:30am  All racers must check in. Race day registration accepted.

10:15am Mandatory Safety Meeting

11:00am Race Start

Insurance and Safety

Insurance is provided by PaddleSports Risk Management. The race will follow PNWORCA races rules, regulations, and safety procedures. All participants must complete the event waiver; carry a Coast Guard approved PFD, a whistle, and it is recommended to wear high visibility clothing. All paddlers participate at their own risk and skill level. A safety boat will be on course for assistance if required.

Event Site

There will be a lot of free parking available at the race site. We are sharing the parking with other active businesses so please be respectful of others. There are bathrooms and showers onsite and available to all participants. Most of the event site is concrete so it is advisable that participants bring pads or boat cradles for setup before the race. Please come to red sign up tent if you have any questions.

Directions to Event Site

Using a mapping program or GPS enter one of the following destination points: 

Sand Point Outrigger Canoe Club
Sand Point Paddling Club
Arena Sports Magnuson Park

Once in the area, look for three blue shipping containers in the boat yard and a red check in tent.
