2026 will see the IVF World Sprint Championships taking place in Asia for the first time!  

The Va’a Association Singapore will host the 2026 International Va’a Federation World Sprint Championships, August 17-31 in Singapore. The V6 canoes are expected to be Kai Wa’a Hydra. The V1 canoe is between Fai 4Si and ARE designs. 

All U.S. competitors must attend the U.S. Sprint National Championship as the qualifier.  The event is being hosted by the Pacific Northwest Outrigger Racing Canoe Association (PNWORCA) on Oct. 4-5, 2025 The US Nationals race site has been moved from Vancouver Lake Regional Park, Vancouver, WA to the Oregon side of the Columbia River at Blue Lake Regional Park in Fairview, OR. Blue Lake Regional Park is a fresh water, spring fed lake great for viewing the races and racing..   Planning is in the works, stay tuned and save the dates!
